TRS–TRRS adapter for 3.5mm output
The SC4 is a high-quality, shielded adapter designed to connect a microphone with a 3.5mm output to the TRRS jack of a smartphone or tablet. It is ideal for connecting a RØDE VideoMic to an iPhone, for example, and recording with the “RØDE Rec” app (iOS). The gold-plated contacts are color-coded, and gray indicates the TRRS output. Although the SC4 was originally designed for iPhone or iPad, it is also compatible with most Android devices. Stereo microphones can be connected to the SC4, but the left and right channels are combined into a mono signal, compatible with the TRRS input.
