Nikon Z50 II Mirrorless Camera
A compact powerhouse for discovery and play
A powerful yet compact mirrorless system designed for emerging creators, the camera Nikon Z50 II mirrorless camera combines a 20.9 MP APS-C CMOS sensor and interchangeable lens mount with a host of flagship features and compatibility with the entire NIKKOR Z lens range to elevate your content beyond the smartphone.
20.9MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 7 image processor
The 20.9 MP DX-format CMOS sensor is paired with the same EXPEED 7 image processing engine found in its flagship full-frame siblings to deliver a versatile blend of high sensitivity, nuanced image quality, fast AI-powered autofocus, and full-resolution continuous shooting at up to 30 fps. At native values, a sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200 supports working in a wide range of lighting conditions and can be extended up to ISO 204800 for extreme low-light conditions. The blend of resolution and sensor size also contributes to clean image quality and smooth color transitions with reduced noise throughout the sensitivity range.
Nikon's most advanced autofocus

Using legacy algorithms and deep learning technology from the Z9, including sophisticated subject detection for nine different subject types, the Z50 II can recognize a variety of distinct subject types, ranging from humans to animals to aircraft to bicycles. The popular dedicated bird detection mode is also featured. When working in Auto AF, these subjects will be automatically detected, focused, and tracked to ensure sharp focus as the subject moves within the frame.

Eye detection, in particular, has been tuned for improved accuracy and refined recognition of eyes in the scene and can also be used in conjunction with the custom large F-area for different subject shapes and sizes.

Pre-release capture
The EXPEED 7 processor also unlocks Pre-Release Capture, a feature that makes it easier to capture decisive moments by recording bursts of images up to one second before releasing the shutter. When this feature is enabled, burst shooting begins when the shutter is half-pressed, and the buffer will retain images after the shutter is fully pressed.
4K UHD video recording

Capable of recording more than just stills, the Z50 II has also enhanced its video capture capabilities, now supporting 4K UHD video recording at up to 60 fps and Full HD recording at up to 120 fps, as well as a product review mode, recording time limits of up to two hours, a video self-timer function, built-in electronic vibration reduction, and the ability to record video files to the camera's memory cards or an optional external recorder via the HDMI output. In-camera time-lapse shooting is also possible with the ability to output a finished 4K UHD video file directly from the camera.

In a first for Nikon, the Z50 II is UAC and UAV compliant for live web streaming. Additionally, you can now record 10-bit video internally with Nikon's N-Log LUT and also use four new RED LUTs.

Color Control for Designers
Nikon has added a Picture Control button on top of the Z50 II to make access to its 31 built-in presets available even in Auto mode. Color presets can now be overlaid on the rear LCD screen, giving you the ability to visualize color changes as you create. Creative recipes built by other Nikon shooters are available via the Nikon Imaging Cloud and can be downloaded and integrated alongside the presets. Additionally, Nikon offers a one-year subscription to its Cloud Picture Controls software, so you can use your own presets with professional editing tools.
Body design and connectivity
  • A large 3.2-inch LCD touchscreen is available for bright, clear, and vivid image playback and live view shooting. The screen has a 180° tilting design, which benefits front-facing selfie captures, and offers more intuitive operation, navigation, and settings control. The improved touchscreen now features the Touch FN option, which allows you to select the focus point with your fingertips.
  • The improved electronic viewfinder has been redesigned for greater comfort in eye-level viewing. Using NIKKOR optics to ensure a sharp, clear image, it is now twice as bright as its predecessor.
  • A built-in flash and hot shoe let you introduce additional light into dimly lit scenes, with a dedicated Night Portrait mode that optimizes balanced exposure with available and supplemental light.
  • A headphone jack has been added, also serving as a terminal for Nikon's newly released and optional MC-DC3 charging cable, and the USB-C terminal provides both camera charging and USB power. The camera retains the microphone and HDMI ports of its predecessor.
  • Built-in SnapBridge connectivity enables seamless transfer of low-resolution images and remote shooting capabilities. BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi enable communication between the camera and a smart device, and the mobile device can remotely trigger the shutter to display a live view image of the camera for remote work.
  • The included EN-EL25a rechargeable lithium-ion battery extends the camera's battery life, in-camera charging is also supported.
  • Single SD memory card slots support up to UHS-II protocol for quickly storing photo and video files.
Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR Lens (black)

Compact and versatile, the Nikon NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR is a 24-75mm equivalent zoom lens designed for DX-format Z-mount mirrorless cameras. Covering a wide-angle to portrait-length zoom range, this lens is well-suited to everyday shooting situations. Its optical design incorporates aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements, which help reduce a variety of aberrations for sharper, clearer image quality throughout the zoom range. A Super Integrated Coating has also been applied to minimize ghosting and flare for increased contrast and color accuracy in bright and backlit conditions.

The lens's flexible focal length range is complemented by Vibration Reduction image stabilization, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake by up to 4.5 stops for sharper handheld shooting. A stepping motor provides fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override to suit both stills and video applications. Additionally, a programmable control ring can be set for intuitive adjustment over a variety of camera and exposure settings.

The standard zoom is designed for Nikon Z-mount DX-format mirrorless cameras and provides a 24-75mm equivalent focal length range.
An extra-low dispersion element reduces color fringing and chromatic aberrations to improve clarity and color accuracy.
Four aspherical elements minimize spherical aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range for greater sharpness and accurate rendering.
Super Integrated Coating suppresses flare and ghosting to improve contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
The stepping motor delivers incredibly smooth, quiet, and fast autofocus performance that is well-suited to both still and video applications. Full-time manual focus override is also possible, and an internal focusing design is used, where only the internal lens groups are moved during focusing, to maintain the overall lens length during use and promote faster focusing speeds.
Vibration Reduction image stabilization minimizes the appearance of camera shake by up to 4.5 stops for sharper handheld shooting.
The programmable control ring is, by default, set to adjust manual focus, but can also be used to control aperture or exposure compensation.
The specialized electromagnetic aperture mechanism provides greater stability in exposure control, which is particularly beneficial when working with fast continuous shooting rates.
The rounded seven-blade diaphragm promotes a pleasing out-of-focus quality that benefits the use of shallow depth of field techniques.
